The Canadian College of Technology and Business (CCTB) celebrated a triumphant start to the Fall 2023 academic season with its highly successful Intake Orientation. This event brought together 297 students from 55 different nationalities, underscoring the institution's commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
The Fall 2023 Intake Orientation, held from 14 – 15 September, was filled with informative and engaging activities aimed at helping new students transition smoothly into college life. The orientation sessions featured academic presentations, where faculty members introduced students to the college's rigorous curriculum and the myriad of opportunities that await them.
One of the highlights of the event was the valuable support resources presented to the students. Representatives from SUCCESS BC Settlement Integration Services, KeepMe SAFE, and WestTrek were on hand to provide essential information and guidance to students, ensuring they have access to the necessary resources for a successful academic journey in Canada.
To give students a taste of their new surroundings, the orientation also included a campus and neighborhood tour of Yaletown, along with visits to other iconic sites in downtown Vancouver. This immersive experience allowed students to familiarize themselves with their new home and the vibrant city that surrounds CCTB.
The success of the Fall 2023 Intake Orientation demonstrates CCTB's dedication to supporting students from around the world as they embark on their educational journeys in Canada.

We acknowledge that the territories on which CCTB and its campus are situated are the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We thank them for having cared for this land since time immemorial, honour their graciousness to the students who seek knowledge here, and iterate our dedication to valuing the ongoing contributions of Indigenous peoples and communities.
